The Players Championship 2012: Matt Kuchar Claims Biggest Victory Of Career

Matt Kuchar is the champion of the 2012 Players Championship from beautiful Florida. After shooting two-under par in the fourth round, Kuchar finished two strokes ahead at -13 overall. He shot a 68 in the first and second rounds, a 69 in the third and a 70 in the fourth.

There was a four-way tie for second place in the tournament, with Martin Laird, Rickie Fowler, Zach Johnson and Ben Curtis all tied at -11. Kevin Na shot a +4 in the fourth round on his way to finishing at -8 for the tournament.

Tiger Woods ended his day at +1 for the round, moving him back to -1 for the week. Phil Mickelson finished tied for 25th place after ending at -3 on Sunday.

Following his win, Kuchar now sits in sixth place in the FedEx Cup rankings.
