It seems that whenever 52-year old Fred Couples comes to Augusta National he turns the clock back, finding himself tied for the lead at The Masters once more after a brilliant round of 5-under 67 to tie his lowest round ever at Augusta.
Couples, along with Jason Dufner, fins themselves as leaders in the clubhouse at 5-under for the tournament, while Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia recently bogied to fall back to 4-under, tied with Lee Westwood, Louis Oosthuizen and Bubba Watson.
Phil Mickelson is making a weekend charge, currently three under on his round for the day, sitting at 1-under for the tournament, while Tiger Woods remains at -1 on his front nine as well after a birdie on the first hole. The cut line remains at 4-over. Miguel Angel-Jimenez, playing partner of Woods, is staying steady at 3-under for the week, as is Francesco Molinari, also at 3-under.
