The Stanford Cardinal (16-6, 2-4 Pac-12) dropped from No. 2 to No. 16 in the latest update of Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's Poll.
No. 5 Arizona (21-7, 7-2) swept Stanford in a three-game series this past weekend. After opening the season 15-2, the Cardinal have lost four of its past five games. Despite being ranked in the top 25 of all the major polls, the Cardinal are ninth in the Pac-12 standings after starting their conference season with a 2-4 record.
After a Monday night game against Saint Mary's (14-12), Stanford heads north for a weekend series against Washington (16-9, 3-3).
Other Pac-12 schools ranked in this poll include UCLA (20-5, 7-2), No. 14 Oregon (18-8, 6-3) and No. 23 Oregon State (17-8, 6-3).
