Several local teams will be in action as the 2012 Big West Tournament gets underway on Thursday.
The 2012 Big West Conference tournament will get underway on Thursday live from the Honda Center in Anahein, California. Long Beach State is the top seed and heavy favorite in the tournament after finishing 15-1 in the regular season, but several other teams are poised to knock the 49ers off.
Several Bay Area teams will be in action on Thursday. Pacific earned a No. 6 seed and will play in the first game of the day, while UC-Davis will be the first team to face off against the heavily-favored 49ers. Here's the Day 1 schedule. All games will be broadcased on Big West TV
12:00 p.m. - No. 3 UCSB vs. No. 6 Pacific
30 minutes after - No. 2 Cal State Fullerton vs. No. 7 UC Irvine
6 p.m. - No. 1 Long Beach State vs. No. 8 UC Davis
30 minutes after - No. 4 Cal Poly vs. No. 5 UC Riverside
