NFL Mock Draft 2012: Andrew Luck To Colts, David DeCastro To Chiefs, Jonathan Martin To Lions

Could there be four Stanford Cardinal players taken in the first round in the NFL Draft? It's a high probability.

A dead certainty to be drafted either first or second is Andrew Luck. Drafttek's latest mock has him going to the Indianapolis Colts with the first overall pick.

Colts front office making moves in free agency to shore up OL, sending Luck the message that Indy is ready for him at QB. If Colts snag Fleener at TE, all but wideout position will be set on offense for Luck to start his Colts career. Rick McGlothlin, Colts Analyst

The Kansas City Chiefs find an offensive line stalwart for the near future to power their run game in David DeCastro with the 11th pick.

#11 would be the highest OG ever selected in the NFL Draft . . . but DeCastro is no ordinary OG! The Chiefs need to strengthen the interior of their OL, whether it's moving Albert inside and grabbing a tackle . . . or leaving him at OT and drafting DeCastro.

The Detroit Lions pick up an offensive tackle to further protect Matthew Stafford with the 23rd pick.

While the Lions have been talking with Geoff Schwartz and Marcus McNeill, and hoping to retain Jeff Backus, they clearly need help on the offensive line. Martin can play on either side of the line and would (finally) be a longterm solution.

Jim Harbaugh would reunite with his old tight end Coby Fleener on the 49ers.

WR priority is reduced, but Morgan to DC may change that. Fleener is grabbed in round 1. He is another weapon familiar with the Harbaugh offense, that should pair well with Vernon Davis. Fleener will take advantage of the more open passing middle with Moss on the outside.
