Jeremy Lin Puts Up Derrick Rose Numbers, Knicks Beat Cavaliers

Jeremy Lin and the New York Knicks got the post All-Star break festivities kicking in style with a strong comeback victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. After trailing 61-49 at halftime, the Knicks outscored the Cavs 33-19 in the third quarter to recapture the lead before finishing with a 38-23 run to get the win.

Lin finished with 19 points, 13 assists, five rebounds, and probably most importantly only one turnover. Lin matched the efforts of Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers (who had 22 points, seven assists, three rebounds and four turnovers), but more importantly Lin got great supporting performances from the rest of his cast. Carmelo Anthony added 22 points, Steve Novak finished with 17 points after raining down threes, and Amare Stoudemire, Tyson Chandler and Iman Shumpert all finished with double-digit scoring.

Lin's performance stat-wise has only been matched by one other person this year: Last year's MVP, Derrick Rose.

The Knicks have a rare three day break before they take on the Boston Cetlics on a Sunday afternoon game.
