NFL Combine 2012 Results: Mitchell Schwartz Drill Results

Cal offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz flies under the radar compared to top-flight prospects like Matt Kalil of USC and Jonathan Martin of Stanford. Schwartz has played at left tackle for most of his Cal career, but is probably in better shape to be a right tackle at the next level. That would allow him to deal with defensive ends that are stronger but not as speedy and versatile.

Schwartz did his NFL Combine drills today. He registered a 5.45 second 40-Yard Dash, 23 reps on the Bench Press, 26.5 inch Vertical Jump, 89 inch Broad Jump, 7.86 second run on the Three Cone Drill and 4.87 second 20-Yard Shuttle.

Overall, they're not spectacular numbers, though they're not terrible either. Schwartz is still looking at the chance to be a special teams player right off the bat and work his way up from there.
