Cal Vs. Long Beach State Preview: Golden Bears Head South For Three Game Set With 49ers

The No. 20-ranked Cal Golden Bears baseball team hits the road for their first road trip of the 2012 season as they travel to Long Beach State for a three-game series at Blair Field.

Cal opened their 2012 campaign with a sweep Pacific (9-1, 6-3, 8-3) in a home-away-home series last weekend, outscoring the Tigers, 24-7, but now head South to face a dangerous 49ers team out to make some waves of their own. Cal has a 34-27 all-time record versus Long Beach State, winning last year's meeting, 6-1, March 13, 2011 during the Cal Baseball Classic at AT&T Park.
