Knicks Vs. Mavericks, Halftime Update: Jeremy Lin's 12 Points, 6 Assists Pace New York Early

Palo Alto native and current New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin isn't looking like a letdown will be coming soon since he shot into the stratosphere of NBA stardom over the past few weeks, having a very solid first half against the Dallas Mavericks at Madison Square Garden Sunday afternoon, helping the Knicks maintain a three point lead by the score of 48-45.

Lin finished the first half with 12 points, six assists, two steals, a block and a rebound, while limiting the turnovers (the only thing he's struggled with) to only one in 22 minutes of play. He shot 5-10 form the field and 1-3 form downtown. Stanford product Landry Field's added 11, while Amare Stoudemire eight.

Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Marion lead the way for Dallas at the half, each scoring 14 and 11 respectfully, while Marion was given the task to guard Lin for most of the first half, let's see if that continues.
