The sudden Jeremy Lin hype machine kept on rolling on Friday night as his New York Knicks hosted the Los Angeles Lakers. The game was televised nationally on ESPN and Lin more than delivered on his biggest stage to date, in his biggest opportunity to date. The kid from Palo Alto eclipsed his previously career-high for points -- 28, set just a few games ago -- by racking up 38 while leading the Knicks to a convincing win over Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. By the end of the night, Lin was drawing raucous impromptu chants of "M-V-P!"
But my personal favorite moment in the game was probably when Lin drew a charge late in the fourth quarter. It was a huge play and I don't think I've ever seen someone so happy to get knocked to the ground. It was quite a game, all thanks to Jeremy Lin.
