Wi won himself a California State Amateur title back in 1990 when he was just 18 years old at Pebble Beach, so he could be channeling some if that this week.

As for the amateur leaderboard, Irishman Padraig Harrington and businessman JP McManus currently lead the way at 19-under par collectively, while Tony Romo and Tiger Woods sit at 11-under.
