UFC on FOX 5 results: Mike Swick loses in knockout

Gary A. Vasquez-US PRESSWIRE

Mike Swick didn't last long on Saturday night, losing to Matt Brown in a knockout.

Mike Swick, who trains in San Jose at the American Kickboxing Academy, faced off against Matt Brown in the first fight on Saturday night. It did not last long, though, as Brown sent Swick to the ground with a knockout punch in the second round to give him a quick win.

The fight got off to a slow start as the two fighters danced around the octagon to shake off the butterflies. It was not long until the action picked up with Brown being the aggressor. While Swick was able to keep the fight close to end the first round, he did seem to find himself in quite a bit of trouble.

It was a sign of things to come in the second as Brown came out in full force, holding nothing back. After a few quick hits, Brown unleashed a violent left hook followed up with a right punch, putting Swick down on the mat for good.
