Raiders vs. Chiefs score update: Oakland leads 3-0 after first quarter

The Oakland Raiders are up 3-0 early after a 20 yard field goal from Sebastian Janikowski.

After the first quarter of play at the O.co Coliseum, the Oakland Raiders lead the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 3-0.

The Raiders have held Kansas City's offense at bay thus far, as the Chiefs have a negative amount of yards of total offense. Quarterback Brady Quinn is 3-4 for 14 yards and has been sacked twice, while running back Jamaal Charles has 1 yard on two carries. Backup running back Peyton Hillis has yet to accumulate any rushing yards of his own. The Chiefs haven't picked up a first down on the day.

Oakland's offense is moving down the field, but was unable to put seven points on the scoreboard. The Raiders knocked in a 20 -yard field goal courtesy of kicker Sebastian Janikowski, but couldn't punch the ball into the end zone after reaching the 2-yard line. Quarterback Carson Palmer has 26 yards on 3-7 passing, while running back Darren McFadden has 36 yards on nine carries.
