Stanford vs. Oregon score update: Cardinal, Ducks enter halftime tied at 7

No. 14 Stanford Cardinal is giving No. 2 Oregon Ducks and their high-octane offense everything they can handle at Autzen Stadium as the two teams enter halftime tied at seven in what has been an exciting first half of football.

For the Cardinal, it is all about their defense and they have not failed to impress in the first half against Oregon's explosive offense. Stanford's defense held Oregon scoreless in the first quarter, which is something no other team has done this year.

Stanford allowed just seven points in the first half and minimized Oregon's big plays in the passing game, but one play the Ducks were able to connect with was a 28-yard pass from Marcus Mariota to wide receiver Keanon Lowe for the score.

Freshman quarterback Kevin Hogan's played well, too, for Stanford in his second start of the season. The freshman turned a broken play in the red zone into a rushing touchdown, but also threw an interception in Oregon territory late in the second quarter.

Oregon's star running back Kenjon Barner rushed for just 15 yards in the first half.
