Stanford vs. Oregon 2012: Game time, TV schedule, odds and more

Ezra Shaw

The Stanford Cardinal need a win on the road against the No. 2 Oregon Ducks to keep their Pac-12 North dreams alive.

The No. 13 Stanford Cardinal travel to Eugene, Ore. on Saturday night to take on the No. 2 Oregon Ducks and try to keep their hopes of winning the Pac-12 North alive.

The Cardinal need to win Saturday and defeat the UCLA Bruins next week to clinch the Pac-12 North championship. If the Ducks win on Saturday, they clinch a spot in the Pac-12 championship game, no matter the outcome of their season finale against the No. 16 Oregon St. Beavers.

The Ducks' lightning-fast offense this season has put up staggering numbers. Oregon is third in the country in rushing yards and total yards per game. More importantly, the Ducks' offense is the top-scoring team in the nation, averaging 54.8 points per game.

The Cardinal defense should provide Oregon their toughest test so far this season. Stanford surrenders the 12th-fewest point in the country and owns the nation's toughest rush defense, only allowing 58.8 yards rushing per game.

The Stanford offense will attempt to help the defense by controlling the clock through the running game. Senior tailback Stepfan Taylor has 212 yards the past two seasons against Oregon, and will need to run well for the Cardinal to pull off the upset.

Game Time: Saturday, Nov. 17, 5:00 p.m. PT

Location: Autzen Stadium; Eugene, Ore.

TV: ABC

Odds: Oregon -21½
