Detroit Tigers fans find themselves one game away from being swept in their World Series matchup against the San Francisco Giants.
Following Detroit's dismantling of the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series, few Tigers fans would have expected their team to be in a 3-0 hole against the San Francisco Giants. But that's exactly the situation unfolding in this year's World Series as the Giants took Game 3 by a final score of 2-0.
The Tigers were unable to get any sort of offensive flow going, finishing the game with just five hits. Starting pitcher Ryan Vogelsong went 5.2 innings, striking out three and picking up with win. Probable American League MVP Miguel Cabrera finished 1-4 and is hitting just .222 in the series.
The poor performance has blogger Al Beaton over at Bless You Boys fairly upset.
