2012 Pebble Beach National Pro-Am: Jim Harbaugh Replaces Tom Brady In Pro-Am

Stay connected for news and updates

According to the San Jose Mercury News’ Carl Steward, San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh will replace New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in this year’s AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro Am February 6-12.

Harbaugh will be making his first ever appearance in the event, as will Oklahoma head football coach Bob Stoops.

As for Brady, he had some other engagement. What’s it called? Oh yeah, the Super Bowl- and decided not to attend the tournament that starts the next day. Interestingly enough, head coach Bill Belichick will still be playing.

Some other sporting names of note taking part are San Francisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, and ESPN personality Chris Berman. Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow was scheduled to play, but was scratched due to injuries suffered in the divisional-round of the playoffs against the Patriots.

Kenny G and and Michael Bolton are both scheduled to play as well.
