The No. 21 St. Mary's Gaels picked up another easy win on Saturday night to remain undefeated in WCC play. The faced off against the hometown BYU Cougars, who did not pose much of a threat. After the 80-66 victory, the Gaels are now a perfect 9-0 within the conference and boast an overall record of 20-2. The Cougars are now a respectable 6-2 in the WCC and 18-5 overall.
St. Mary's opened up a 40-28 lead entering halftime and never looked back, posting up a second 40 points in the second half.
Gaels forward Brad Waldow led all scorers with 19, also registering a double-double with 11 rebounds. Rob Jones contributed 13 points and nine boards of his own. On the BYU side, Noah Hartsock and Matt Carlino each put up 15 points.
The Gaels will play their next game on Thursday, Feb. 2 as they host the San Diego Toreros at the McKeon Pavilion.
