Senior Bowl 2012 NFL Scouting: North Defeats South 23-13

Stay connected for news and updates

The North team defeated the South by a score of 23-13 in the annual Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. on Saturday afternoon. Playing in the game were two former California Bears looking to improve their draft stock, wide receiver Marvin Jones and offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz.

After the first quarter passed with just a field goal from both team, Cal receiver Jones scored the games first touchdown by catching an eight-yard pass from Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Russell Wilson. This put the North team up by a score of 10-3 and they never relinquished their lead. Unfortunately, after making that one catch, Jones was knocked out of the game with a knee injury.

The draft is still a couple months away so the book is not completely closed on Wilson and Schwartz when it comes to draft order as they still have the combine and team visits to boost their stock.
