Senior Bowl 2012 NFL Scouting: Cal Bears Players Marvin Jones, Mitchell Schwartz Get Time In National Spotlight

The 2012 Senior Bowl is an annual contest that gathers standout college football players from all over the country. This end-of-the-year All-Star game is a potential golden opportunity for players who are about to enter the 2012 NFL Draft. The two teams will be coached by NFL coaches, work with NFL training scouts and perform in front of a multitude of scouts, front-office representatives and evaluators.

The game takes place in Mobile on Saturday, January 28. Two California Golden Bears players are making sure that Northern California is represented at this year's game.

Marvin Jones - Wide Receiver - California Golden Bears - North Team

Jones put together a solid season for the Golden Bears in 2011. He finished the year with 62 catches, 846 yards and three touchdowns. He has already been turning heads in this week's practices leading up to the game and has been drawing comparisons to Donald Driver, among others.

Mitchell Schwartz - Offensive Tackle - California Golden Bears - North Team

At 6'5 and 317 pounds, Schwartz is the very vision of the prototypical offensive lineman. Following his redshirt season in 2007, Schwartz has started all 51 games of his collegiate career, more than proving his durability. His 2011 campaign saw him named to the first-team All-Pac-12. He was named Cal's Most Valuable Offensive Lineman in each of the last three years.
