The Santa Clara Broncos traveled to Provo, Utah on Saturday night to take on the BYU Cougars in search of their first win within the West Coast Conference. At the end of the night, however, they had picked up a 92-78 decisive loss and sank to 0-4 in conference play. Their overall record is now 8-9. With the win, the Cougars improve to 15-4 overall and 4-1 in the WCC.
The Broncos stayed in the thick of things through the first half of the game, as they only trailed 45-42 entering halftime. They faded in the second half, however, en route to the 14-point loss.
Kevin Foster had another big game for the Broncos, finishing with 22 points and five assists. The points push Foster to No. 6 on the all-time Santa Clara career scoring list.
The Broncos will play their next game on Saturday, January 21 as they host the St. Mary's Gaels at the Leavey Center.
