Defensive back Dashon Goldson found his way back to the San Francisco 49ers, and now he wants us to believe silly things. Silly, silly things, like choosing the 49ers over the New England Patriots because that's what "his heart told him". Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle has more.
"This is home for me," Goldson said after his first practice Wednesday. "This is where I want to be. Unfortunately, it didn't work out long-term. But in the bottom of my heart I wanted to be here and that's exactly what I did."
Goldson's heart must have one heck of a safe deposit.
Goldson has been on a topsy-turvy ride when it comes to free agency and his relationship with the 49ers. First he wanted to stay with the Niners. Then they signed some other guys, which apparently made Goldson sad. So he decided to say goodbye and look elsewhere. He found things he liked, but decided to come back after all. Quaint.
I hope most relationships aren't like this. I'd seriously consider monastery work if that's what it took to avoid that sort of drama.
